A lot of people have wooden flooring in their homes, the problem is that often there are so many different stains and marks from years of abuse. Fashions in interior design change from year to year and sometimes wooden floors simply go out of fashion. Painting a Bathroom Floor
There are many different types of flooring people have in their bathrooms including tiles, lino and cement. Just about any type of flooring can be painted. For lino floors make sure that you give it a really good clean and then use a medium sandpaper to get rid of any wax. Another clean over with a mop is then a good idea. You can then move onto the primer stage using a primer paint. Then you can use a semi-gloss or satin paint to give a few coats to the floor.
Painting a Garage Floor
For those of you who make use of a garage to park your car then you might want to look at painting the concrete floor with epoxy paint. This is the ideal paint because it won't peel if you are going back and forth with your car. It's not as easy to apply as regular paints but it's well worth going to the extra effort because it will last a whole load longer. First of all you need to apply the first coat and then allow it to dry for 24 hours. Then you are able to apply the second coat. Please note that the floor can get quite slippy if the epoxy is allowed to become wet.
If you are one of these people who doesn't use a garage for a car then you might find that regular paint work pretty well. There are also more color choices. However you'll need to re-apply the paint on a more regular basis, perhaps every year depending on how much you use the garage.
